Terms of Use

These conditions apply whenever someone browses the website, reads its material, or uses a search feature. Using the site means agreeing to all of them. A person who does not agree should stop using it.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not connected with a government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners supplies a service for credit decisions, employment screening, insurance underwriting, tenant screening, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The site identifies criminal-record resources for Rhea County and Tennessee. It is neither a private investigation service nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, operated independently of every government office. It does not store official criminal records, retrieve a person's file, conduct an official check, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its material routes readers to the custodians of Rhea County records, including the sheriff, criminal courts, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to independently operated research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Every user agrees not to:

  • Interfere with the website or prevent another person from using it
  • Run a scraper, bot, or other automated collection tool against the pages
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Use the information to threaten, stalk, or harass another person
  • Rely on site content for housing, hiring, lending, or insurance decisions
  • Violate a federal, Tennessee, or local law through use of the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No information found here or through a linked tool may be used to intimidate, threaten, discriminate against, stalk, or harass anyone. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. Tennessee registry data is published for public safety awareness. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation warns that threats, stalking, harassment, retribution, or added punishment based on registry information may result in criminal prosecution and civil liability. Vigilante action is forbidden.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, background checks, or consumer reports. Our advertising partners do not offer linked tools for an FCRA-regulated decision. Data found here or through a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Make any other decision regulated by the FCRA
  • Set an insurance rate or judge creditworthiness
  • Evaluate an applicant for a rental or other housing
  • Choose whether to hire, retain, or dismiss a worker
  • Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or public program

A check for a regulated purpose must be obtained through an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider or the official process required for that purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

The information is not legal advice. General descriptions of Rhea County record procedures cannot determine how a warrant, conviction, charge, or expungement law applies to one case. That requires advice from a licensed Tennessee attorney.

6. No Warranties

All material and services are provided "as is." We make no promise that:

  • A partner's result will be accurate or complete
  • The pages contain no error, bug, or security weakness
  • Access will remain uninterrupted
  • Published information is complete, accurate, or current

A criminal record can change when a charge is filed, dismissed, expunged, or restricted. Updates may lag. Nothing published here is an official statement or record from a court, sheriff, or government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to official agencies, courts, legal resources, and independent search services. Those destinations are outside our control. We are not responsible for their availability, prices, content, or data practices. Their own terms apply after a visitor leaves this website.

8. Intellectual Property

Rhea County Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, graphics, code, and logos. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, alter, or create derivative work from that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for harm arising from use of the website, including reliance on information found here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and legal actions caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Tennessee law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from website use must be brought in a court located in Tennessee.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be changed at any time. A revision becomes effective when the new text is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may restrict or terminate access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision will be adjusted only to the extent needed for enforcement.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
