Questions about official Rhea County criminal records must go to the agency that created or maintains the file. This private reference site cannot fulfill a records request, but the contacts below route court, sheriff, police, booking, and statewide history requests to their proper public offices.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office that holds the exact Rhea County record sought:

  • Court case files: use the criminal court case records instructions or contact the Circuit Court Clerk at 423-775-7818
  • Criminal histories and rap sheets: order through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: call the Rhea County Sheriff's Department at 423-775-7837
  • Official Tennessee name checks: use TBI's TORIS service
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Expungement: begin with the clerk of the court where the case originated

The sheriff's report counter is at Rhea County Sheriff's Department, 7800 Rhea County Highway, Dayton, TN 37321, 423-775-7832 or 423-775-7837. Official pages conflict on whether administrative hours begin at 8 or 9 a.m.; both show a 5 p.m. close on weekdays, so call before traveling.

For filed criminal cases, contact Circuit Court Clerk Jamie Holloway at 7824 Rhea County Highway, Dayton, TN 37321, 423-775-7818 or jamie.holloway@tncourts.gov. The county court page also publishes 423-775-7805.
