Why We Built This Site
Tennessee provides several public access routes, but no single office holds the full history of an event. The Rhea County Sheriff's Department keeps its own reports and jail records. Court clerks maintain filed charges, docket events, and dispositions. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation operates the statewide repository and TORIS name-check service, while the Tennessee Department of Correction and Tennessee Sex Offender Registry serve different purposes. We bring those official channels, published fees, and request steps together so the division of responsibility is easier to follow.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Tennessee court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot issue a certified court document, rap sheet, or other official copy
- We cannot submit an expungement petition, public-records request, or other filing for a visitor
- We cannot retrieve a person's record or perform an official background check
- We cannot interpret a specific charge or provide legal advice
- We cannot guarantee that an agency has not changed a fee, address, or phone number
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the sheriff, the court clerk, or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. We identify those offices but do not produce their records.
